My mother is getting married jun 2 2012……….her color is red with silver accent so she’s looking for a theme that she can incorporate those colors also the wedding ceremony and reception is going to be in a pavilion at a park so i would like some ideas of how to decorate the tables and centerpieces….i would like to use chinese round paper lantern but im not sure yet

Add white diamante tulle, drape/scallop around pavilion and catch up at even intervals. Make big poufy tulle bows with streamers and add a big silver bow with streamers in center of tulle bow or pouf. Colors red, silver and white. Also, red rose silk garland can be used. Use the red chinese lanterns inside the pavilion and hang one in the center of each drape either above the drape as in an upside down letter C or below.
For chair markers, use silver ribbons with a long stemmed red rose. If using an arch, decorate with silver ribbon and red roses. A spray of red roses at the top of an arch with greenery and silver ting ting would be gorgeous. Add a bit of silver to her bouquet with bouquet jewels, google. This is not really a theme, just pretty, unless you wish to go more Chinese, but if you use the round solid color paper lanterns, no need. Centerpieces can be red roses in low arrangements, tall vases with greenery (bells of ireland) and tall silver ting ting. Floating candles, mirror tiles, vase gel, submersible led lights, table scatter, table gems-on site below.

Also, a red/silver brocade runner would be gorgeous. Unless pavilion is huge, could buy fabric and have made, very simple, cut out and hem.

Also can always use white branches stems in pots with hanging gems and small hanging mirror pieces, cover bottom of container with red tulle with white led lights underneath. Same site above. Can add various potted green plants or wedding palms from florist for color.
This can be as fancy /////more or less////either//// with these ideas.
Another idea I like, you may not, may be too fancy or pavilion, but hang white lace or solid white umbrellas upside down, can lower with monafilament line if necessary and have cascading garlands of silk red rose garlands mixed with a white flower, magnolias, gardenias, peonies and some ivy greenery. Our use nice green hanging baskets or pots of some kind if umbrellas are too formal.

What are the nicest type flowers to have?

Well, if you’re using silk flowers you can have anything you want.
There is no such thing as a truly black flower, and most of the flowers that are close to black naturally are very very expensive and hard to find if you can find them.
Perhaps plan on using something like dried eucalyptus leaves spray painted black with your white flowers. For hot pink you could use dianthus or perhaps something that has been dyed like carnations which take up dye very well.
For a formal wedding you might want to simply use white flowers in black vases with pink bows. Roses or lilies always look very formal.
