i am looking for the perfect wedding dress?

Posted on May 24th, 2011 by admin

i want to find the perfect wedding dress.. here it is..
strapless
possibly a thigh high slit
under the breast wrap around ribbon [hot pink]
strappy corset type BACK
other than this kind of eased.. nothing to "noticeable"

where can i find this dress.. or is there a place where i can type in details and it finds a dress for me

As a professional seamstress who designs and creates wedding gowns, you will most likely have to have your wedding dress with these details custom made. I have yet to see a wedding gown with a slit up thigh high.

There is, however, one slight design flaw in your dress. The front sounds really more like a evening dress where it is an empire waist line. Empire waistlines typically have a bodice to which the skirt is attached. This is presumably where you want the pink ribbon, yes? Okay then, that is the front.

The design problem lies within the back design of the dress for two reasons.First, a corseted back implies that he dress is tight throughout the back shoulder blades to the waistline. But this cannot be if the front is an empire waist, with the skirt beginning below the bust line. Secondly, the empire waist will have a ribbon wrapped around it. This ribbon will not be cohesive with a corseted back as you are mixing two styles that do not go well with one another.

Please forgive me if I seemingly am raining on your parade. I am a designer and I would be remiss if I failed to point out the flaws in your design.

Eliminating the corset back detail would solve this design dilemma

How did you find the perfect wedding dress? There are so many to choose from! When should you buy the one?

I’m getting married in March 2010 and I already have my dress. I didn’t mean to purchase it so early, I just fell in love. I loved the way I looked in the dress. It’s not originally what I imagined. I know it sounds cheesy, but I just knew. :)

I think going to David’s Bridal and being able to try on lots of styles in your size helps. Even if you purchase elsewhere, you’re able to get an idea of shapes, necklines, fabrics, etc that look good on your figure. Just take lots of pictures, review them, and sleep on it!

What a perfect wedding does look like?

Want to make a perfect wedding. Any ideas? What is it in your consideration?

My wedding was perfect to me because it was so stress free, we got married in Jamaica on vacation, everybody knew it was not like we eloped or so. but we just got our paper work together send it of and the rest was being taken care of by the hotel (thank you ’sandals’ montego bay) the decorations, flowers, dinner, cake, drinks….we got married on the beach, lot of flowers. it would have been a nightmare for me to plan a big party and try to do right by everybody and spent a whole lot of money on them. because my wedding was about my husband and me…and not a bunch of relatives. when we came back we had a small casual reception/BBQ. that was the perfect wedding for me

What would you do for your perfect wedding?

Posted on May 11th, 2011 by admin

Flowers:
Cake:
Colors:
Other:
Things I forgot to address in the ‘Other’ category:
this is for a joke. I was jacking around austin with my friends, we went to the capitol. We got bored so I started fake proposing to girls. One of them contacted me and it looks like they’ve been planning it jokingly on facebook. I don’t want to think too hard so I’m asking ya’ll to figure something out…its a much longer story.
I’m not getting married…yet-ish

I already had my wedding- but if i could have had an actual wedding this is what id do! :)
Flowers: I LOVE daisies! So id do white daisies- inexpensive, simple & beautiful!

Cake: Red Velvet! Love it! With orange fondant & three daisies on the top layer.

Colors: deep rustic orange, red & brown! Beautiful fall colors that would be gorgeous with the daisies. :)

How do you plan the perfect wedding in a very short time and on a limited budget?

Firts decide your exact budget. Then look for halls for the reception that are within that budget.
Check out theknot.com for some good to do lists, and a budgetting tool it’s been a great help to me.
Also, for some cheaper reception and ceremony locations check out local libraries, historic sites, parks, large backyards etc. Think outside the box because most reception locatiosn book up approximately a year in advance.
As for low budget ideas:
- Skip the DJ! Hook up someone’s laptop or an Ipod to the speaker system. You get a 100% personalized list too, don’t have to hear any crap unless you want it! lol
- Invites don’t have to be printed! We’re getting 100 for $80 (instead of the $300-$400 to have them printed) We are buying invites with a design on them and then printing the wording off on my printer at home. It’s cheap, it’s simple and it’s just as pretty! You could even take it cheaper, just buy a bunch of cardstock and make your own design as well.
- Centrepieces and decorations needn’t be professional. There are so many fun creative things you can do so cheap. We bought these GORGEOUS clear glass vases from the dollar store. We plan to float a single flower and a couple tea lights in some water inside of it. In total, 10 centrepieces are costing us $20.
- You CAN get beautiful photos without paying $3000. Check out local colleges. Many of these students are even better than some of the "professionals" out there. They are more creative and are willing to do things for the cost of supplies (i.e. cd’s, photo paper, ink etc). All they want is to be able to include 1 or 2 photos in their portfolios so they can get a job when they graduate. PLUS you control the rights to the photos after. Most professional photogs make you pay extra for the negatives and then still make you sign a contract saying they can use your pictures for ANYTHING they want.
-And of course bouquets. You don’t need to go all out on flowers. Some of the nicest bouquets I have seen are 1, 2 or 3 long stemmed lilies. Simple, inexpensive and gorgeous

Good luck hun!

Explain your perfect wedding theme and what activities would go on?

Posted on May 8th, 2011 by admin

Hi. My wedding wasn’t anything very special, just a traditional one. My sister just got engaged, and I am trying to help her think of a good theme. If anyone has ideas, please answer! Thanks a lot!

my perfect weddingtheme is a holiday one. With snow and horse drown carriage, christmas lights, with the flower girl dropping paper snowflakes instand of rose patels, my wedding dress would be a light blue with a white faux fur coat, a muff a traira and a veil, the wedding cake a christmas tree . Then for our honeymoon we would go to Walt Disney world and the Walt Disney cuirse line. Heres the link to my what my wedding party is going to be.

Where is a perfect destination wedding for my situation?

Posted on May 7th, 2011 by admin

My fiance and I are finally planning our wedding for the summer of 2012, our son will be 1 year and 9 months by the time we tie the knot. We will be 20 years old therefore we do not have a lot of money, but we want this to be very special and kid friendly. We are planning on bringing the whole family down (40+ people).

Where do you live? Depening on where you live, will depend on how expensive a destination wedding is. If you are in the midwest you should definitely consider Castle Farms for your destination and your son will love it as well. It is an old castle that has been completely redone and refurbished and is now used for Garden tours and weddings. Truly a fairlytale wedding. Best of Luck and congrats
