I’ve been looking at alot of dresses recently. I’m attracted to the wedding dresses without sleeves – that show the shoulers as I think this makes the bride show off her shape better. However the "trend" or whatever, especially for public weddings I am seeing (Kate Middleton Jennifer Lopez) long sleeves is worn. What do you think is better?
there are may factors at play – age, shape, climate, personal morality.some may even take into the venue (i have several christian friends who wouldn’t wear a strapless gown in church)…
there are a lot of misconceptions – i’m big busted (i was a GG at my last fitting) and the best dresses that i tried on were in fact strapless.get the underwear right and you can wear strapless even above a D-cup!if underwear is uncomfortable it is because it doesn’t fit properly – i get my bras properly fitted every 6 months.i have worn bustiers, corsets, slimming body suits, the lot and not once have i been uncomfortable.the dresses with straps just made my bust look weird and squashed.i’m a bit iffy about showing my arms off ,so i’m going to have a shrug
Catherine wore sleeves because she had to – its a royal tradition that they be modestly dressed.Catherine’s dress was actually very clever because the lace gave her the modesty while still showing off a bit of skin.i wouldn’t try to recreate that – her lace looked very soft and lace,in my experience is very scratchy unless you have the money to spend on decent stuff!
i don’t think there is a better way to do it.as long as the bride is comfortable and loves her dress, that’s all that matters!
