I still haven’t decided if I’m doing wedding favors yet. I feel like that are a waste of money. However, I’m torn between personalized guitar picks or personalized bottled water. My fiance is in a popular local band so I like the guitar pick idea. Our ceremony is outside and I like the bottled water idea also. What do you think?
I think bottled water is pretty wasteful. Many people use their own reusable bottles, I would be really annoyed if someone tried to give me a plastic bottle with their label on it and treated that like a favor, when it’s actually just a big waste of plastic and resources!
I wouldn’t take a guitar pick because I don’t play guitar, but I can see how some people would find that cool and want one.

I’ve never been to a wedding where there wasn’t a wedding favor for each guest. I’m reading over and over again on Y!A that so many people think wedding favors aren’t necessary, they’re a waste of money, etc. But just because some people on here don’t like them for whatever reason doesn’t mean that they’re speaking for everybody. Would guests be offended if they came to a wedding and didn’t have something to bring home with them?
No, guests won’t be offended if there aren’t wedding favors. Most likely they won’t even notice and if they do, they’ll only be glad they don’t have to find a way to discreetly throw the favor away.
If you want to do favors, give your guests some kind of food like a cookie or candy. People like edible favors.

I do not have a wedding coming up, but I saw this craft and knew I had to share it all with you. You should definitely do more adornments on this than I had on hand.
You will need two 3-inch round paper machie box and one 2-inch round paper machie box and this will create TWO wedding favors.
Quick dry glue or Beacon Fabri-Tac
Krylon Gesso spray (if you can find it, I just got the paint)
Any lace or add-ons you like. Pearls, flowers, bows,
One tea light per favor.
Candy, etc. to put inside of your favor.
