I’d like to make my own flower arrangements for my wedding, so I found a bulk flower dealer online. The price for 48 STEMS of hydrangeas was 300 dollars, but I don’t understand how many blossoms that would be. Would it be enough for my bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, the flowers for the groomsmen and the centerpieces (5-7 tables)?
Well Hydrangeas are a very large flower so 48 is quite a bit. For your bouquet depending on the size i would say four maybe five stems, as for bridesmaids they could always just carry one stem (if you are looking for simplicity) or three for a good sized bouquet. As for groomsmen you wouldn’t use a whole stem because they are so large, maybe half or less for each one. The centrepieces on the tables (seeing as the flowers are so large which means you would use less and save money) i would say 3-4 per centre piece, that is if you are thinking smaller shorter centrepieces. In total (i counted at the high end) you would need 39, so having 48 means that you could add a stem here and there to centrepieces or another to your bouquet or maybe put some on the ends of the seats lining the isle.
