My fiancé and I are looking for a nice and affordable wedding reception place in NYC, preferably anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Bronx.
Price range we are looking for is $50-60 per person and total of under $10,000 which includes meal, open bar, and staffs.
We are planning to invite around 140 friends.

I am wanting an outdoor wedding next year and I can only find a few places that offer outdoor weddings. They are very expensive. Does anyone know of any good places? Please list websites if available.
Some towns would include: Wabash, Anderson, Muncie, Kokomo, Marion, or towns close to these.

I would like to have a garden wedding, or a location with lots of trees, something that would allow for nice photo opportunities.

There will probably be around 50-70 people at the most.

My fiancee and I have a small budget of 1000 for the ceremony and reception. any ideas?

Assuming the weather cooperates you can hold the ceremony anyplace, such as a park, on the beach, in the mountains. As for the reception, you don’t have to impress anyone so don’t worry about fancy. Cold cuts, bread, potato salad, soft drinks, everything on paper plates and using plastic cups/glasses. Suggest to the best man and maid of honor that they suggest everyone going out to dinner after the reception, but everyone is to pay for themselves. Wedding at noon, cold cuts from 12:30 to three or so, then those that want to can go to dinner in a couple hours. Have somebody play the guitar or a violin for entertainment.

I visited an old movie theater in Carrollton, TX called The Plaza, and I fell in love with it as a wedding venue. While I would really, really, really like to have my wedding there, I want options. I do not want to get married in a church. Does anyone know of any other old movie theaters, like the one in Carrollton? I would also appreciate any other ideas you have. Not sure when the wedding will be yet.

check with the Lakewood Theatre in Dallas, it’s old & beautiful, or perhaps the Majestic Theatre downtown Dallas. For sheer drama & class, The Hall of State at Fair Park is the place.
