Posted on January 12th, 2012 by admin

I am playing sims 2 pets. I want to throw a wedding party. (they are old people) thy are already engaged and living together and the guys aspirations is to throw a wedding party. When i click on the phone is only says throw house party, help!!

click on the phone
click throw party
click wedding party

you need your sims to be engaged before you can do that and if you want the party to be really good (like, ‘roof-raiser’) its good to have a bar, cake, champagne and wedding arch.
hope that helps! :)

Does the wedding party count towards the number of guests?

Posted on November 30th, 2011 by admin

We are looking at having a wedding one of at several wedding locations that allows 50 guests. We have a wedding party of eight. Do they generally count towards the wedding guest list? I know it may vary place to place, but as a general rule, do they? Thanks!

If you intend on feeding these people then yes. They count.

It’s usually people like photographers , bands and dj’s that don’t count. HOWEVER you still need to have them catered for if it’s an all day thing. It’s only fair to them.

Guest List Includes: ALL of bridal party, bride, groom, little kids, grandparents, basically whoever you sent an invite to. good luck!

What is the point in having a wedding party?

Posted on November 13th, 2011 by admin

I am engaged and for my wedding I know I’m not having a wedding party for money reasons and personally I think they are outdated. Whenever I see two people getting married and they have a wedding party there is usually some kind of drama within the group (especially with bridesmaids). I just kind of wonder what the point is? I would rather be up there with my fiance and the person whoever is officiating the ceremony. I know everyone has their own opinions so I’m just wondering what others think about this?

It’s totally your decision, if your friends (potential bridesmaids) can’t act like adults, then I wouldn’t bother with them.

The tradition from long ago was that the wedding party would dress as the bride and groom to confuse the bad spirits of people who did not wish the couple well. Then it was to confuse possible other suitors from spiriting the bride away or injuring the groom. Modern tradition has a bridal party to throw the bridal shower, the bachelor and bachelorette parties and to generally assist the bride and groom in planning and executing the wedding.

However, as pretty much all ‘tradition’, it is completely optional.

What should I wear to a wedding party?

Posted on July 30th, 2011 by admin

I have been invited to a wedding party and im not sure what to wear…
Tidy long sleeve shirt?
Black trousers or dark blue jeans?
Black shoes or tidy’ish trainers?

Thoughts?
Not the actual wedding just the party.

How about:

Has anyone decided not to have a wedding party?

Posted on July 11th, 2011 by admin

I have decided to not have bridal attendants at my wedding. I want the ceremony to be intimate and to only have me and my fiance standing at the alter. I was wondering if anyone else has done this or has been to a wedding like this. If so could you give me some ideas on how to conduct the ceremony since there won’t be any bridal party walking down the aisle. I don’t want it to seem weird to the guests.

You will need two witnesses to sign the marriage license, and generally, that is the best man and the maid of honour. To get around that you could take the signing of the certificate out of the ceremony and do the paperwork after (but before the reception). If you want to keep it in the ceremony, you could just tell your two witnesses to join you on the altar when it’s time to sign.

The ‘aisle walk’ would be the exact same, except it would just be you and dad. Choose the song you want to walk to, and that’s it. If you do want someone to precede you, ask your parents and your fiance’s parents to be part of the processional. Maybe your father in law could walk your mother and your mother in law down the aisle, he could seat your mother, seat your mother in law and then take his seat. Once that’s done, it’s time for you and dad.

How much would cost a wedding party in Haifa-Israel?

Posted on June 6th, 2011 by admin

I and my husband got married last year in Hawaii (just the two of us) and we are planning a wedding party in Haifa, Israel. We want to celebrate our marriage with his family. We are planning on 85 guests (it could be less). But we have no idea of the costs. It will only be the party. We don’t want anything too sophisticated or expensive. But also nothing that looks cheap. Just something simple, romantic. Is 12,000 sheckels enough money?! Thanks in advance. :)

A wedding anywhere in Israel costs between NIS 200-300 ($50-75) per person, so NIS 12,000 is more than enough.
Here is a list of wedding halls in Haifa:

What should I do for my wedding party if am horrible at dancing?

Posted on April 19th, 2011 by admin

I’ve never been good at dancing and my wedding ceremony will be in less than three months. It’ll be an almost big party with 400 guests. I don’t wanna seem talentless in front of the guests.
I don’t have much time to put for dance practicing either.
How come life has to be so stressful all the time?
What should I do?

You don’t have to know how to dance. Have them play a slow song and get out there and sway with your new spouse. No biggy.

What is a good gift for children in the wedding party?

Posted on April 18th, 2011 by admin

I’ved asked a similar question before, we got everything else for our wedding party including the two 10-year-old girls, however, we have a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy in the wedding. What is a good present to get them? I am definately at a loss.

Thanks

What I did for the kids in our wedding party was put together gift bags of small items (in our case, from the dollar store, we were on a tight budget). For our flower girl, we did a fairy princess theme–a headband with attached long purple hair (with sparkles! that was a hit lol), a glow-wand, some little dress up shoes and a skirt, and I think a couple other small things. The boys in our party were older so they go things like magic tricks, kites, yo-yo…glow sticks for them too if I recall correctly. Those were such a hit with all of the kids.

For young boys, I’d go with a pirate or soldier theme, but anything would work really. I have a nephew who would be happy with farm themed stuff (mind you, he’s 11 but he’s obsessed with John Deer)
