When you buy a gift for your wedding party do you also buy your pastor a gift?

Posted on March 14th, 2011 by admin

I am getting married and we just purchased gifts for everyone in the wedding party, should we also buy a gift for our pastor? I mean he’s technically in the wedding party right?

An envelope w. cash is usually given to the officiant.

What are some tips to be asked to be in a wedding party?

Posted on January 5th, 2011 by admin

I would love to be in a wedding party (bridesmaid, maid of honour). It would be a real honour, plus everyone I know has been in a wedding party, so it means they are well liked. I was wondering what is the best way to try in being in someone’s wedding?

What Kind Of Gifts Can I Get For The Wedding Party?

Posted on December 5th, 2010 by admin

I don’t want to do anything that looks cheap but I know me and my fiance have to get them something. What can I get that won’t be tacky? There is some room for a little expense because there will only be four people in the wedding party. Spammers will be reported!

A nice necklace to wear with there bridesmaid dresses.

What should I wear to an upcoming wedding party?

Posted on October 30th, 2010 by admin

Okay, so I’m going to a wedding party in May (I think it’s just the party, could be the reception too.) Anyway, I have absolutely nothing to wear, no really. The warm weather is coming, and I want to wear something where I won’t be too hot, or too cold. I don’t want to wear pants, and I don’t really want to wear a dress. Any ideas? I’m open to anything! Thank you.

Should you buy a wedding present even if you’re already in the wedding party?

This is my first attendance to a wedding, and am one of the bridesmaids. Is it still expected that I buy a gift off the wedding registry for the couple, even though I’m already in the wedding party?
I’m not sure of the etiquette on this one. Some friends of mine say yes, some say no, and others have no idea.

Yes, but it doesn’t have to be anything large or expensive.

They should be getting you a gift as a thank you for participating, so think of it like a gift back. "thank you for letting me be in your wedding."

What would have been the theological implications if Jesus had supplied the wedding party with ham sandwiches?

What song would be a good for a bridal party to walk out to at a wedding reception?

My sister’s wedding is in two weeks and I’m the maid of honor. She’s trying to a pick a song for the whole wedding party to walk out to when we’re introduced. Her and her husband are walking out to Pink – Get This Party Started … her pick… kinda cute. So I was looking for something fun that we could all walk out to! Any ideas would be awesome!

How many people in a wedding party?

Posted on October 25th, 2010 by admin

My fiance and I have each chosen 8 of our friends to be part of our wedding parties. It seems like a lot to me, and we were trying to figure out who to cut, or make something else, and it just doesn’t work. We each have siblings that we want to be part of the wedding, adding more to the parties. Does this seem like too many for a wedding party? How many did you/ are you having in your wedding party?

Also, I have only asked my sister to be my matron of honor, and my fiance has not asked anyone yet, so it isn’t too late to change our minds!

Ask the whole neighborhood.

Do I send invitations to people in the wedding party?

Posted on October 24th, 2010 by admin

Im not sure if i send invitations to the people in my wedding party and list their significant others (or guest) or to their significant others only? But what if they are single?

Yes, you send them to your wedding party, listing both the attendant and their significant other, and if they are single you can either just address it to them or add "and guest" if you are allowing them to bring a date. You should also send invitations to the parents of the groom, and your officiant, which are the people most often forgotten.
