is there a website specifically dedicated to wedding color themes?

Posted on January 14th, 2012 by admin

I’m sorry you think it’s a loser hobby Bob. It’s not my hobby. I’d be thrilled if this was someones hobby so I could move on… I am getting married. Hopefully only once, and rather than surf through hundreds of advertisements- it’s very time consuming. I’d just like to see some color combinations for dresses flowers and such, It’s hard to start planning without a color guide. All serious answers would be really helpful. Thanks in advance. happy New Year and God bless

try dessy.com, and click on pantone weddings, it allows you to make an inspiration board based on any chosen colour schemes

how do i combine these wedding themes?

Posted on December 20th, 2011 by admin

My sister is getting married and she wants to combine a winter wonderland theme such as this

http://www.ijustsaidyes.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Wedding-winter-wonderland1.jpg

with the rich amber hues of fall such as this

http://www.84weststudios.com/images/lighting/up-lighting-amber-wedding.jpg

got any ideas?

She could always use one for the wedding and the other one for the reception. Winter use lots of silver, blue, and green, and fall use all the fall flowers but it has to be kept separate you can not use them together in the same room. Good Luck

Women: What was the theme of your wedding or the wedding themes you attended?

Posted on November 11th, 2011 by admin

Name every wedding’s theme that you went to and yours if you have had one. If you were married more then once name both themes. If it was just a small wedding, tell me whether it was fun or not.

Autumn Leaves ( no flowers…all leaf decorations and bouquets)
Winter Wonderland ( done in silver and artic blue)
Spring Bloom (every table was done in a different color and flowers)
Butterflies Galore (butterfly decorations)
Disney ( both bride and groom worked for Disney)
Splish Splash (this was at a water park)
Summer Magic ( they had a magician and the tables had top hats with stuffed rabbits, and cards etc)
Renaissance Faire (in a forrest, had long banquet type tables with wandering musicians)
Gothic (that says it all)
Around the World (each table was decorated for a different country)
Star Wars
Halloween
Hearts ( wedding was on Valentines Day)
Luck of the Irish ( on St. Patrick’s Day, colors were green, lots of shamrocks and celtic music)
Gamers ( every table had different "game" theme, like Monopoly, Twister, Chess, Checkers, etc)

Those are all I can remember right now….when I married eons ago, your theme was wedding…thats it….LOL

Can anyone suggest some unique wedding themes for a school project? I will choose best answer?

My class is tasked to simulate a wedding. We have to make a very good presentation. We need wedding themes. The themes that have already been used by the other classes are:
Halloween
Broadway
Fantasy
Disney Characters
Greek Mythology

Please. I (we) need wedding themes. I know you guys can help me (us). Please…

Four Seasons (either individually or all together – Appetizers from Spring, Salad from Summer, Dinner from Fall, Cake from Winter)
Camelot (Romeo and Juliet, romantic gowns, etc.)
Vintage Opulence/Shabby Chic (think distressed furniture, chandeliers, lace and crystal)
Classic Cars (probably close to a 50s theme)
Impressionism (Water Colors, Great Masters paintings for invites, etc.)
Rustic (think barns, candles, galvanized metal containers)
Italian/Tuscan Countryside (think brightly colored pottery, grapes, Italian food, etc.)
Candles and candlelight

What are your favorite wedding themes/ color combos?

I am an event planner and love knowing what is in season.
My husband and and my wedding colors were orange, indigo and lavender.

Remember people, this is based on opinions. If you don’t like someone’s answer, just don’t vote on it, they’re entitled to like what they want.
Also, besides our colors, we had a theme for our reception- carnival/picnic. It was a lot of fun.

Not getting a lot of themes here, though. I love the color choices you guys are posting.

Colors: I love vibrant, bold colors like red, orange, purple, and deep blues. Don’t just stick to two colors. Pick a whole section of the rainbow (like warm colors, cool colors, earth tones, etc) and use all of them.

As for themes, fun ones are unexpected ones that the couple turns romantic. I went to a Halloween wedding once where costumes were encouraged at the reception, and everything was "spooky" but done really artistically and romantically. There was a "Corpse Bride" themed wedding cake topper.

Please can you help me with a wedding theme?

My boyfriend/fiance proposed to me yesterday, and we have decided to get married in June. We are getting married in the English countryside, in a manor house.

We need ideas for themes for the wedding. Nothing too crazy please!!!
By a theme I don’t mean a theme as in a party theme. I mean like a colour theme etc. Not as in movies books and TV programmes etc. It is not a fancy dress party!

Why do you need a theme? Isn’t two people getting married theme enough? But if you need a theme, how about a wedding theme?

What kind of wedding themes would you pick for a fall wedding?

Posted on March 29th, 2011 by admin

My fiance and I are getting married in October of 2013 and I’m having a little trouble trying to find a theme. We would like to have the colors black and a light tan color. If someone has any idea please help thank you.

Your theme is wedding. The colors black and tan could make for a lovely fall wedding. However, I would suggest a pop of additional color that represents fall. Orange, yellow and burgundy mums might do the trick.

Having wedding and recpetion with different color themes?

Posted on January 18th, 2011 by admin

My Bridesmaid’s dresses will be a pewter/silver color and I was thinking about doing the Wedding in Blue silver and white and then the reception with silver black and red. Would that be too much?

Yes – that is too many colors.

However, get the colors and lay them out so that you can visualize it.

They sound pretty though.

Peace.
