I plan on getting married in about 11 months and I still have no venue. I plan on having 150-200 guest (we’re still editing the list). Money is not really important unless the wedding cost an extreme amount( nothing over 80,000). I really want a place like the waldorf astoria in new york, but I don’t want to pay for so much transportation. Please help.

What venues typically are best in your opinion for weddings with no more than 50 guests? And what venues are generally great for having the ceremony and reception there? Also, what do you think a wedding of 50 guests generally runs for, or between what thousand and what do you think my budget will be? Thanks.
For a group this size, one option that is becoming more popular is to find a private room at a restaurant and do the whole thing there. In most cases, there’s no charge for the room as long as a minimum food/beverage is met. And most restaurants will be happy to work with you on a customized menu, where there’s only a couple of entree choices at a fixed price. This helps contain and budget costs.
Then all you need is an officiant, and these are easily found in yellow page or craigslist. In fact, check locally – in many states all you need is a notary public.
On cost, it’s impossible to guess, mainly because it all depends what kind of restaurant you choose. There’s no rule that says it has to be first class, and if you know of a nice italian type place, this is often great food at good prices.
