how is that weird? pregnant ladies get married all the time. Pregnant ladies might also like to go to a formal ball. Being pregnant doesn’t mean you don’t get to participate in society.
I know you said you weren’t saying that to be attacked, but to tell the truth, I don’t know why you think they’re weird.

I really dont think it is such a bad idea, i mean if you think about pregnant women feel insecure while they are pregnant and if they can create something to make women feel good about themselves at time they really need then hey go for it. I was in motherhood with a friend and you couldn’t even tell that those were maternity clothes they were really cute.

As far as maternity wedding dresses I don’t honestly feel like that’s such a disgrace. Not everyone believes in waiting before marriage. In fact my mother was 3 three months pregnant at her wedding and her and my father have been married strong for twenty-one years. And to the prom comment it’s already been done. I know it’s really not something to be screaming proud of but things do happen. I don’t feel like pregnancy in high school is really promoted by these but is it so wrong to have them taboo enough for a girl to buy in that situation? It’s not as if the JcPenny sells them on display.

Considering I could have used both, I don’t think its awful. As it was, we had a dress that was too big for me altered to fit around baby. I’d rather the person get their wedding or prom than miss out due to dressing issues. I would have loved to walk down the aisle with a flat tummy, but I didn’t. There was no way I was putting off my wedding until after the birth.

Not attacking just saying sometimes accidents happen. As for the prom dresses thing… it’s not next, it’s last decade.

They already have maternity prom gowns.
I’m okay with maternity wedding dresses… at least they’re getting married.

People make choices that may or may not be right at the time. That does not mean they should miss out on life. If a pregnant woman wants to get married, more power to her. If a teenaged mom-to-be is going to finish school and go to prom then we should praise her for not dropping out. I work with moms and its about time someone made some formal wear for them!

Heavens! Those women/girls shouldn’t even be allowed to show their faces in public! How dare they risk offending DECENT people… <end sarcasm>
Honestly, I can’t even understand the mentality that finds this offensive… Once a woman decides she is going to carry a pregnancy to term, why should she be limited on ANY activity??? Pregnancy is not a disease, it’s not shameful… Only some of the people viewing it are…

My fiance and I didn’t think we could have babies so we weren’t going to use contraception at all even before the wedding just in the hopes we could have one because we were ready and really wanted a baby. Our baby is due July 8, 08 our wedding is March 22, 08. Why shouldn’t there be maternity wedding dresses? My life isn’t going to be the same as anyone else’s, life happens different for everyone and I happen to be pregnant when I’m getting married. Do you got a problem with that?
What the hell is wrong with a pregnant lady getting married? Would you rather them be single and raise their child alone?
